60k checkup cost?

Hey, just wondering what you guys paid for your 60k mile? gave a call to one of the dealers here in dallas, and was quoted 650 including the trans and radatior flush, which seems alittle steep... what do you guys think? Anyone in dfw get a much better price? also want 190 per axel for brake pads, which also seems alittle high...

Do all of it yourself. takes 3 hours tops to do the service.

I would do it for 150 if you bought the stuff

x2 for DIY, esp the brakes. Also, is it me or is doing a coolant flush kind of premature at 60k? I'm doing a drain and fill at 100k.

Yes, do the brakes yourself, very easy.

County Line at Burleson told me to wait until 100,000 on the coolant flush. I just did the tranny flush and the regular oil change. I change the fuel filter myself.

yeah do most of it yourself

the coolant you can do its pretty easy and just drain and fill, flush is really not needed

the tranny take it somewhere if your not comfortable doing it

brakes are easy

I was just checking my manual for recommended coolant change on my 04 F-150 with the 5.4. Manual says first change at 100,000 miles or five years. After that, 50,000 miles or three years. I only have a little over 16,000 miles on it but was wondering what was recommended as far as time. So I am good for another year. Coolant looks clean. I think I will by a bottle of coolant test strips to check for corrosion though.
