My last truck was broken into about a year and a half ago. They took nothing, and it cost me a couple hundred for a new passenger window.

A year before that, they took eighty bucks out of my wallet that I used to keep in my truck. Thankfully, they left the credit cards and ID.

So which break in did I prefer? The second, only cost me 80 bucks. Why only 80? I left the truck unlocked

That's funny, because I leave my truck unlocked half the time. But I have nothing in there worth stealing.

watch them pop your lock out to get in when the door is unlocked and they don't steal anything..

Some fools stole my darn license plate, but that looks way too easy to get in the cab!

It's about time I get an alarm.

This is EXACTLY why I am looking in to a Viper alarm system!

Sorry to hear (and see) the damage

Do a search on this site and you will see how many times this has come up for San Antonio....it sucks. The thiefs around here know how easy it is to pop the lock on the Ford truck, just look at your example!!! They broke the window on the car next to you, but popped your lock, classic. Its gonna cost about $700-$1000 for repairs, I speak from experience. Just get the lock out of there and leave it be, they will just pop it again. When your driving around town or walking through parking lots, pay attention to the locks on Ford trucks, I guarantee you will see several a week that are missing, most people dont bother to repair.

I've got an idea. Why not just replace the panel with a chrome/billet one?

http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/ALS508C.htm

That would make it much harder to pop the lock. No???
