Driver side exhaust/wire and hoses
Driver side exhaust/wire and hoses
I just install a MBRP Dual exhaust out the rear.
I have a slight problem with brake lines and one wire.
Can someone post a picture or tell me what I can do to protect these hoses and one wire.
I melted part of the wire. Lucky the wire had a wire loom and black tape, the tape and wire loom melted leaving the wire unharmed.
I put one hose and the wire above the pipe and wire tied them up above. Seems this might be ok
The brake line is cannot be moved. It sits on the side of the exhaust pipe about one inch away.
This is all near the rear axle driver side.

My Maggie Kit is sorta similar, but I've got at least 3" of clearance. I grabbed as many of the wires/rubber hoses into a bundle and zip tied them together (several times) and then zip tied that to the frame out of the way.
did you try to re-adjust your exhaust placement. I'm guessing you have the tips spread far apart? try putting them close together...this should pull the crossover pipe away from the brake lines

I will check the width this week. I'll see if I can get them closer to the hitch.
Thanks Guys. I was starting to think that I was alone with this.
I am going to try to get to the garage tomorrow and get the truck up on a lift.
With the suspension fully dropped, I will do my best to wire tire or move the wire and hose.
Hopefully I can adjust the exhaust to get it away from the brake line.
I didn't realize I would have a problem with this. Having put duals on.
Maybe I should have gone with a single.
