Widgets On Ford's Ledger Sheet

Hey Ford...are you listening. I know you monitor this site. Best sit up straight and take notice. You're missing the mark on this one!!

I'm purchasing a 2008 F-150 SuperCab before the end of the month and have no Ford Loyalty Rebates to use. I am aware of a My Ford Private Purchase Offer in the amount of $750. Apparently, my name was not randomly selected from your official manifest. In addition, I confirmed you are test marketing a $3000 Ford Owner Loyalty Rebate in the Kansas City Regioin, that is in addition to all other National incentives, including the My Ford Private Purchase Offer.

What am I missing here? If you want to reduce dealer inventories and not delay the 2009 announcement (too late for that now) let's be smart about incentives. Offer Ford Owner Loyalty Rebates to ALL of us Ford truck owners and not just a select few. If we want to use the rebate, we will. If not, we wont. In my case, I've purchased six (6) Ford trucks in the past ten (10) years. IMO...I should have the option of using a rebate.

Ford...by not offering Ford Owner Loyalty Rebates to us Ford truck owners, you run the risk of creating DISLOYAL owners who will look at other brands for their next purchase. You may want to reconsider your incentive stratagy. The clock is ticking....

While I agree, a loyalty rebate is a great idea, I didn't buy my truck based on rebates. I bought my 08 F-150 based on the quality of my 04,01,99 and 97 F-150's.

Ford doesn't owe YOU nor anyone else ANYTHING.....

Rest content in the fact that the F150 is the best truck on the market. Buy it for that, NOT for what you can get back from them. If you are simply looking for the cheapest path to a truck, then you might need to look elsewhere. If you want the best made truck then you have to pay to play.

Regardless, he won't be getting a response from Ford by posting here, I hope he realizes that.

Dude, I retired from Engineering at Ford and they could care less. And for them monitoring this site, good luck.

Why on God's green earth would Ford want your used truck? They are having a hard enough time moving brand new shiny trucks off the lots, let alone old used ones.

Best truck on the market? I have to respectfully disagree. I'll save my reasoning for another thread, but I hope I'm in an F250 in the forseeable future. We are near the base of the 1/2 ton market in terms of powertrain.

What Forum did I post that statement in?
Not the F250 forum, but the F150 forum.
If you feel that the F150 isn't the best truck in IT'S CLASS, then dump yours and get what YOU think is the BEST IN CLASS and post on those forums too.
