Train Horns, whos got 'em?!

how is yours set up? post pics if you've got them. I want to put some on my truck, i've seen people put the compressser and tank in a tool box in the bed but i don't want to have to drill holes in my bed. Is there a way to mount everything underneath the truck and out of the way? I'll probably have to lose my spare tire but i don't care about that.

I got triple omega horns mounted behind the front bumper at 150 psi. The compressor and tank are mounted basically behind my fog lights, I know this isn't the best place, but it's all I could do at the time and I keep telling myself to move them. I installed a rocker switch so I can change from factory to train and just use the horn pad to set them off.

Using train horns to blare false-warning scares is illegal. Using them to warn another driver if they are about to side-swipe you is NOT illegal. In fact, the F150 is considered by the DOT:

1. A truck.
2. A vehicle that can be used to haul commercial goods and services.
3. A vehicle that has a gross weight beyond 5500 lbs.

I beg to differ on the 3rd one... but yes, most F150's do have a GVW (dry) of 5500 lbs. Some don't however.

you just mounted everything to the frame or the bottom side of the bed? i really don't wont holes in my bed

and from what i'm reading as long as i'm not being immature i'm fine....i think i can handle that.

I'm just tired of people not paying attention and almost taking me out on my daily commute, i think a few blasts of a train horn should do the trick...that and people illegally walking infront of my truck making me miss my chance to pull out into traffic ( happened earlier today)

Now what if you use your train horns to blast false-warnings to scare illegals?

I moved my horns to my roof rack and added a 5 gallon stainless steel air tank @ 150psi. Pump is a continuious duty Viair 480c (i think) Horns are from seige and everthing else is from hornblasters.
