Changing O2 sensors
Changing O2 sensors
I went out this morning to change the front O2 sensors.
They're stuck hard. So I sprayed them down with PBlaster, started the truck nd let everything get hot... then tried again to loosen them. Stuck.
SO I figured, "Screw this!" I call the Ford dealership to see what it owuld cost to have them do the labor for me.

I'm on my way back outside to keep trying.
$125 + tax... I think I'll keep my money.

I finally changed one today. I got done driving for a little bit and came home. I immdiatly went out.
The driver's side came out... but the passenger's side is another story.
How the heck do you even get that one out? It looks like you have ot drop the exhaust down to even get it out.

yeah that 1st passenger side sensor is a PITA. i bought the ford 02 sensor tool which gives you a little better leverage on it, but it still wouldnt come out. i finally heated up the pipe below the sensor with a torch and then let some candle wax pull through the threads and finally got it out. definately not easy though. oh and that was the second tool i got. the first one broke trying to loosen that dam sensor...
