Its hot and my window squeeks!
Its basically turned 95 down here in Florida (been 95 actually) and my drivers side window has started making an awful squeek when raising or lowering. I've done a lot of research using the "search" button and found alot of information but nothing that really pointed to it.
Some posts say is the door sill. Others say its the tract. Still others say its the regulator (may be the tract?). Lucky me i'm 658 miles out of factory warranty too. What are the proper lubes to lube each of the stated above.
I also read where someone suggested putting Rain-X on the window to slick it up. Any thoughts no that?

What area does the squeek seem to be coming from? Sometimes my windows will squeek from the very top, where the window goes into the weatherstrip channel at the top of the door. In my case, it happens when dirt/dust gets in the channel. A simple thorough cleaning of the top edge of the window, along with the channel itself, usually solves the problem for a while.
Also, once, I had a window-related squeek coming from deep inside the door. I took the door panel off, and thoroughly cleaned and re-lubed the entire window track. I just used multi-purpose automotive grease. It's worked great ever since.

Yep, mine does the same thing when hot outside....can get really annoying, seems to be coming from right at the bottom of the window opening were it goes into the door were the rubber seals are, will try the silicone spray....
Hes right, i'm here in florida and all my windows do it besides the one i sprayed WD40 on (yes i know WD isnt good on rubber). I pulled off my door panel and spayed every moving window part with my window up and down, I havent had time to pull all my panels off in this heat but some type of silicone spray or WD down the window tracks and motor moving parts was the fix for me at least hasnt made a noise in 3 months.. The window will be all nasty and oily when ur done but be quiet as new
WD made a rainbow and blurry effect on my tinted windows for about 3 months. No amount of wiping and cleaning solution could get it off. DO NOT SPRAY THAT ON YOUR WINDOW. I then took my door apart, and sprayed the tracks and presto, a quickly moving window with no squeaks. Grease might have worked longer because now it's back after about 4 months.

squeaky window
The one thing that I would not use is anything that has a petroleum based lubricant. They leave smears and they smell. In the past I have used a bar of Ivory soap. Cut a chunk off and with the window down, rub it up and down the side weatherstriping. Then roll the windows up and down a few times and repeat as needed. Ivory soap also works well on squealing fan and serpentine belts. And dont worry it will not make soap bubbles when it gets wetl
