Thinking about painting my grille too.

 

I was thinking about doing this too, but my truck is black and I'm worried about it matching the factory black. I liked the idea of a gloss black finish rather than a flat or non cleared finish. What does everyone think? Has anyone cleared their finish and had good results? I also considered painting the chrome surround black as well, I think it's just plastic with a chrome colored plating.
