What is the Avg. Eng & Trans Temp supposed to be?

I am just curious what is the average transmission and engine temps supposed to be?

or what is to high.

I noticed my engine is running around 192
and my transmission runs around 150

Are these normal?
I am reading this off of my edge.

For Austin your actually doing pretty good. My 4.6 temps in at 197 here in Houston, I have seen as high as 206 in traffic, with the trans coming up on 150 but I have seen the trans temp as high as 180 in traffic. The trans will warm up even if your not moving because it runs fluid through the radiator, so the warmer the motor the warmer the trans by default.

I am considering E fans very strongly to bring the motor temps back down under 200 at all times and to gain a lil power

My 5.4L runs about those same numbers. I've seen the engine temp hit 196 as a high. And the trans run up to 180, but thats on a warm day under hard driving. But as an average I would say my engine runs at 192-194 and my trans is 148-156.

I am getting the same temp readings off my edge as well, and that seems to be the norm, even when i tow the trailers.
