04 Headlight Switch
04 Headlight Switch
Hi, I've been dealing with this problem for the last month or so. I've figured out that my dimmer on my headlight switch is bad and it effects me not having any light on my instrument panel or my gear shifter. Ive looked on ebay for a new headlight switch and only 1 company lists a 04 headlight switch but it looks like
and the one in my truck looks like
Ive looked on a couple of ford parts website and none of them ship to canada. I dont wanna buy it from a local dealership because its gonna cost alot more then to get it online. Im hoping someone can direct me to a website that will have the switch im looking for that ships to canada or I was possibly thinking getting the wiring schematics of that headlight switch to hardwire the dimmer switch to be a constant voltage and the dimmer switch would be bypassed that way.
If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

yeah, that website doesnt allow shipping to canada due to manafacturer restrictions. Im really leaning towards hardwiring the switch. Is it possible to find some wiring schematics for that headlight switch or does that not exist.

I don't know if it just looks dirty or if its scratched but I'd ask the seller, and ask about shipping and handling to you.
also found OEM from tituswillfordparts.com
Collision Catalog - 2004 - Ford - F-150
Instrument panel, Cluster and switches, Light switch, W/fog lamps, Flint $73.84
reasonable price w/o S&H though

For anyone who is interested and for people in the future searching for the same problem, I ended up calling local ford dealer and the part was $150 dollars. I wasn't about to spend that much on a new switch so I took out the old voltmeter and found the power source when the switch was turned on and ran a wire from that source and connected it to the wire that powered the dash, climate control lights and door lights. The only downside to this method is that you cant use the dimmer switch but I never used it anyway and the cost to use it, isn't worth it.
If anyone ever wants pics to the work done just PM me and I can send them to you.
