Overheating w/ A/C on

I have a 2004 4.6 scab 4x4 and its been about 75 degrees the past 2 days. With my A/C on the temp gauge has been getting up to the red when I'm towing 4000 Lbs and the A/C gets warm.

The radiator was flushed at 30K, and now I'm at 60K. Im taking it in to get a flush tomorow and to get the A/C system checked....is there anything else that I should have looked at that would cause the truck to run so hot?

I have a k&n filter and a magnaflow exhaust. Maybe if its running lean it would run hot? I am up for any suggestions besides not towing with my 4.6 haha.

Fan relay is what I'd look for based on your mileage. Hard to say being online though...I'd use a Snap-On Modis and fire your fans, and then test your temp sensor.

Fan clutch needs to be checked, yours was before they went to a electric clutch so yours is purely mechanical. Sounds like you have stayed ontop of your radiator cleanings but another wouldnt hurt

Thermostate might not be working properly.

Well they checked thermostat, temp sensor, flushed the radiator, checked the fan clutch, and everything was sound. The coolant was still good but i had it replaced anyways.

It turns out that they flushed the tranny and the fluid was all burnt smelling and not so red anymore...It was also changed at 30k, so I have a feeling the tranny is not long for the world or at least the converter. I guess that the tranny getting so hot caused the engine to overheat. Tomorrow im going to order a trans temp gauge and I think im going to get an xcal with some troyer tunes here pretty soon so I dont have to worry about another one going this fast.

Thanks for the input though guys, greatly appreciated
