When I lower my tailgate it squeaks. This is after I installed my E-Z Down. It's coming from the opposite side of the EZ Down so I know it's not the mod that is squeaking. I think it is just a coincidence. What do you guys recommend for lubing a tailgate hinge? I thought about taking the tailgate off and putting some thick grease on it but wanted to check with you guys first. Recommendations?

 

General purpose grease or wheel bearing grease should do fine. Just be sure to wipe away any excess so it doesn't collect dirt or run.
