Maintenance reports?

Hey I bought my 06 used and it already had just over the 30k mileage mark. This may be a stupid question but is there a way to find out if the 30k maintenance was done? I'm kinda "assuming" any dealer service dept would be able to run the VIN, but I don't know if this is something internal from dealer to dealer. TIA.

You may be able to get some info yourself. Go here:

http://www.fordvehicles.com/owners/

Go to the my ford section and register. It will ask for your VIN, and if the dealer(s) have entered any maintenance for it, it will show.

ask your dealer to run a OASIS report. be forewarned though, some dealers like to pretend OASIS doesn't exist, and I've had 1 or 2 get pissed at me for even knowing about it

OASIS will tell you the entire history of your truck from birth to current...if Ford has seen it, then there are records

I'm pretty sure OASIS shows every time Ford has touched your vehicle

Just ask the dealer.

I bought my truck used. The business card of the salesman that sold the truck new was in the glove compartment.

I went to that dealership (10 mile drive) and simply asked for the records. They asked for the VIN and presto.. 4 pages of great scheduled maintenance done with Genuine Ford parts!

i always said that oasis should have all ford dealership repair work stored but i guess it would be too much to keep track of.it would realy help makes things easier.
