A little over half way (Bi-Xenon, and DIY HD lights)

After a lot of debate over what to waste my stimulis check on, I decided it was time to upgrade the lighting on my truck.

I opted for the Bi-Xenon setup from HID4u (5000K color-temp). Installation was fairly easy, despite the lack of instructions.

I also started my DIY headlight painting... so far the driver's side is done (hence the a little over half way in the title).

Pics? Sure, why not. These are from a crappy Kodak (not that all Kodaks are crappy, just mine).

One black eye, one chrome... I kind of like it this way.

Frontal shot

A little bit of glare, but I may be able to adjust the light some

This one looked neat

Yes, the light output is very (and this goign to sound dumb to most of you on here) similar to the lighting system on my mountain bike. Both are HID, and use a reflector housing rather than a projector...

The color is just right. There is enough white to be nice and really no hint of blue. The amount of light is an improvement over stock, as well as the quality of the light. Every car should come with HID's.

to my understanding that kit is $100 and $50 shipping? another way of just asking $150 with free shipping I guess.

Did you do your brights as well?

Yes, the way the item is priced it seems very high for shipping; although a lot of sellers do this and make money on the flat rate shipping charges.

The bi-xenon kit is just like a standard HID kit, except that the bulb itself moves up a very slight amount when the servo (or something) gets signal from the highbeam switch. The kit retains use of the highbeams, and when fully installed operates just like the factory high and low beams do.

So, yes I did the brights as well.

That's actually on my list of things... I wanted to do it at the same time as all of this, but I haven't ordered them yet.

Really?? Is that something that'll break or malfunction easily?
