Leveling kit and warranty

In your experiences would something like a 2 inch leveling kit with a 2 inch block on the rear axle void the warranty or extended service plan? I am possibly looking at doing something like this and am afraid when the truck needs ball joints or something in the front end the will void the extended service plan. Any thoughts?

32,000 miles on AS 2.5, just had my truck into service, no problems. 3" block in rear, no driveline problems.

Each dealer is different. Check with your dealer/service manager.

In order to void the warranty, it must be proven that the mod was the cause of the problem.

honestly, most "Ford" techs will have no idea a AS/NCD kit is installed. I've had mine in for work and they had no clue...I think the FX4 sticker helped in part also though

but as Droog said, they have to prove the kit caused the problem. I can 100% see them voiding warranty on Upper/Lower control arms and 1/2 shafts...but nothing else. and a block in the rear isn't going to damage anything.

Which leads to the next question.. if the dealer is mod friendly, wouldnt you rather have them put the kit on. Im sure they are probably going to put in your service records, so if there was a problem you could say...you installed it, if you thought there was going to be a problem why did you do it. Or you could say you installed it and ripped the cv boot, so you replace it.

there are lots of dealerships in Washington state who install them. I drove by 1 lot every day going to work and they did leveling kits and suspension kits on brand new trucks for sale

so yeah, if you can find a dealer who will do it, and you're very concerned with warranty, that is probably the best idea

Like said previously, it's up to the dealer. Some care, some don't.
