I had about 200 pounds of tools in the bed so 9,600 pounds or so trailer weight. I sat just a little bit below dead level on both truck and trailer with about 2.5 inch's to the bump stops on the truck and 2.0 on the trailer. I had to climb some pretty goods grades on the 20 mile trip back, one of them I would have to say was about 10%-12%, truck cilmbed it easy, held the 45 mile per hour speed limit at 3,700 RPM with no down shifting and O.D off. Nothing like the sound of a V8 at almost 3,700rpm for a half mile
Braking was with a ease also with the prodigy set at B.3.
Over all I was really impressed on how the truck did, I would not want to do it every day but for when I need too I am glad I have a F-150.
To bad I did not get a picture of the front end loader that loaded me, it was about 20 foot high, and the bucket was the width of the trailer,16 foot. I stopped him before he was completely empty too, probably had almost another ton in him.
Here is the second trip I made, was just short on rock

Nice!
I do and don't like trailering loads... certain applications require me to load it in the bed... but sometimes I can get away with using my trailers.
I prefer using the trailer method because of 3 reasons:
1. Less wear on the truck itself.
2. Easier to clean.
3. Offers a much larger payload capacity.

Rock are for around the house, about 3 feet out and 3/4 of the way around the house.
Blocks are for a five foot Diameter fire pit
Cement is for the footings for a pergola

Oh, OK. I forgot about the trailer. So truly "dry" without trailer or tools, you're at about 5600.
