cutting bottom off valance

Well I broke my valance at the Dunes last trip and I am in the process of replacing it. I am thinking of cutting off the bottom couple inches off the whole way around. So then it will just be that curved part left.

This should accomplish these things.
1) Give the appearance of more lift when looking at the front. I am only leveled so that would be nice.
2) Still cover up the raw metal and nuts/bolts on bottom of bumper.
3) Give a little better access to tow hook, because that plastic underneath won't be there.

Let me know what you guys think, and if you can think of any negatives to doing this.

Thanks

How ironic, i just did this. I have a 2.5AS w/ OEM 20's.

It looks good: i like it, but others may not even notice.

Any pics. I cut my old one up as a test, and I thought it looked a little funny form the side, maybe just because I am used to the other way. I think it may mess with the lines of the truck too much. I guess I will have to think it over for a day or two.

But if you have any pics, that would be awesome. Thanks

I still need to replace mine. The right side got sort fo ripped off a little. it looks like crap right now but I think I would rather have the whole valance on there instead of a cut one. Lets see some pics though!
