Anyone added this to your truck. What do you all think about this kit?

I was thinking about doing both. I just want to see if this is worth getting first.

for $120 smackers i say NAY. For benefits i say sure why not.
That can easily be done with relays and cost FAR less though.
Of course with relays youll have to make your own harness and perhaps cut into the factory wiring a bit. You can get creative and make your own plug and play for less imo.

Im wondering about your bulbs and headlights with TWO elements burning at the same time especially for extended hi/lo simultanious beam usage.
Output would be amazing though, lo high and Fog! man talk about light!, only thing brighter would be Impacts truck with all his lights on lol

I bought an $18 kit off of ebay when I first got my truck, it allows you to run your fogs with high beams, what a difference when you also replace the fog bulbs with the brighter Sylvania's. I'd be interested to see how these work, the price might be a little steep though.

Definately do so, I am very interested in this kit but the price seems kind of high. Let us know if it is worth it. Good luck with the install.

hmmm... next time you want to waste $18 send me a PM and I'll give you my address... you can mail me the check

for everyone else - do a search on the site - you can make this mod for free with very little effort (other than the extreme effort required to reach the fuse panel if you're not a contortionist)

Here is a pretty good writeup on the procedure

click on the Mod Notes link to see details

I did this on my truck and it works great

Hey guys, I'd be real wary of something like this on a two headlight system such as is used in our trucks. These things work decently well in 4 headlight systems, but that's because there are two separate bulbs. When you turn both high and low beams on together, you're just using two more bulbs.

Most Ford trucks use a single bulb with two filaments. The bulb is not designed to take the heat of two filaments burning at once. What should you expect? I'd say a bulb blown to bits inside your housing. By the way, that one's a real mess to clean up.

Wasn't a waste at the time, no one had figured out how to do it yet plus it's protected by an inline fuse and relay.

Just to clear things up... The Brite Box turns on the high and low beams together, and it also has fog light control so highs, lows, and fogs can all be on at once.

The mod listed above is just to have your high beams and fogs on at the same time (no low beams).

I just got done installing it and it was very easy to do, no wires to cut or splice or anything. Everything was plug in and play I spent almost two hours doing mine because I wanted it to look stock (could be done in 15mins if you don't care how it looks). I bought some wire loom and wrapped everything. I put the box behind the drivers headlight (in the finder) so it's not noticeable. I ran the power wire behind the windshield washer tank. I had to remove it and the battery (to get to the bolts) to hide the power feed. It turned out great!

Gotta go eat

Now that you're full go take a drive in the dark and let us know how they work and if it's worth the cost !
