ive decided that i must get a programmer,, i need any extra mpg i can get even if its 1 or 2... what is the bang for the buck for better MPG?? i will also be getting a Magnaflow side exit exhaust, and maybe AirRaid intake..

lol yeah but isnt like $1000bucks??? im looking to spend about 300-400... but i have heard great things about the xcal.. especiallywhen combined with the AF1.. but all thats too much money for my budget.. what about a Edge?superchip?

I believe the xcal is around 450 or so.....everyone i've talked to says stay away from superchip, edge, there are mixed reviews...i thought about it but when i did a search i read too many negatives. also, the xcal with custom tunes are specifically for our trucks, correct air/fuel ratio's among others....like i said give them a call at vmp and see what u think. af1 is around 300....

The programmer comes with "canned" tunes ( tunes already programmed in ). Custom tunes are specific to engine, exhaust and truck model.....those types of things. The more specific the tune the better the result in performance.
