I'm starting to think it's glued in because there is some stuff that pretty much resembles dried glue all around the back of the emblem.. Anybody else run into this? Kind of disappointing because I really wanted to keep the emblem.
Try using fishing string and sawing through the glue between the emblem and the grill. You may need to use a hair dryer to heat it a little too.

Forget the emblem. Looks better without it anyway.

I'm putting the emblem on it. I already spent the money on overlays.

Hmm, my '07 had the two nuts (just those cheap stamped sheetmetal trim nuts) and one locator pin (which you need to snap off to use on the new grille). Even still though I really had to pry on the emblem and hit it hard through the holes from behind to get it to let go so I wouldn't be suprised at all of there was a little adhesive there too and I just didn't notice.

One word of advice is to save those original trim nuts from the emblem and re-use them. The crappy clips that come with the grille to re-attatch the emblem kind of suck. I had a bitch of a time getting them on good enough (placed a 10mm socket over them and tapped lightly until they were as tight as I could get them) and the emblem still has a little bit too much play in it for me.

Thanks for the advice guys, I boogered the emblem up anyway trying to pry it off (call it getting impatient). I actually like it without the emblem though. Major improvement over stock.

Mine came in Friday while I was away, took just under a week. I have to say I am extremely pleased with the quality. It was packaged with care, everything in order, and it looks incredible on my chrome package XLT with the chrome grill surround. I will say that if you plan on going back to your original grille at anytime, think twice, or take lots of care removing it from the surround. I ended up breaking a few of the original tabs on the stock grill insert but I don't plan on reusing it ever. The retaining tabs don't really bend out of the way as much as they just crack away, but I think if you use a heat gun on them for a few minutes it may soften enough to bend the tabs away and be able to reuse them in the future. I was so happy with it I went out and had the exhaust done! I'll post some pics tomorrow. Thanks again Andy!

Sure looks good. How did you prep the grille before you painted it?
