Ball Joint Question Again!
Ball Joint Question Again!
I have searched for a good while so don't jump on me. Replacing my lower bj's ,upper control arms and installing some Bilstein 5100's this weekend. I need to know the size of that big bolt at the bottom of the shock mount? I am removing my AS too. I hope that the shocks give me enough lift so my tires don't rub.
See the install instructions on the link on AS website. 30mm socket. I rented an axle nut socket from Autozone.

maybe because mine is an 07, but 30mm was too small for mine. i cheated and used a big cresent wrench on the nut and had them retorque them when i got it aligned. the lower bj's are real mothers to get off
my truck had 7700 miles on it when i put my lift on and they mf's didnt wanna come off for nothing. i sprayed the hell outta them and let them sit over night and they damn near fell off the next morning. just a tip, when re-assemblying everything lube (i used WD40) the bolts good (on the bjs) it lets you spin the nut on further otherwise if you dont, learned the hard way, you cant get a socket on the bottom to hold the stud while you tighten it.
