This might be an old thread but let me just say the OP just saved me $85 bucks for a new switch. My passenger switch stopped working and after searching around I followed this tutorial and BAM, works perfect.

thanks OP fixed my switch in 3 mins .... had a hell of a time getting my window up today and i was flippin out at the fact i was gonig to have to spend 90 bucks for the full switch assembly

any particular reason it seems to always be the drivers side up switch? water from leavig the window open would corode them all...

i had the same problem, replaced under warenty

Mine was the passenger side window up/down. Never had an issue with drivers said.....yet.
