Is Carmax Mod Friendly? (Warrenty)

Ok so far i have done small improvements to my truck, but now its time to upgrade to bigger and better things..........BUT i was remembered that when the factory warranty runs out then im on the Carmax warranty anyone know how they feel on warranty work and mods? i don't want to spend a hole lot of money on mods then be screwed when something goes bad and im stuck with it

BTW....I'm a college student.....so if something breaks i might not be able to afford it at that time

If your current list of mods in your sig is correct them you shouldn't have a problem. If your water pump goes there not going to void the warrenty because you installed a CD deck.

Correct. Install a Supercharger or underdrive pulleys and they are likely to give you a hard time, still using the example of the water pump of course.

It would help to give an answer if we knew what mods specifically you are thinking about doing.

Yes they will be pretty quick to void the warrenty if they know the ECU has been messed with. The exhaust you could probably get away with.

only if the exhaust is a muffler or cat back system. If the cats are removed or headers are installed it will void the warranty.

Exhaust: They cannot void your warranty as long as you don't touch the cats. So, Cats to the bumper is cool

Tuner: As long as you return the PCM to the stock tune and physically remove the tuner, they'll never be the wiser. A tuner trips a code when used, but so does a code reader. So there is effectively no evidence it was used.
