Tweaking the cruise control

Does anyone know if it is possible to tweak the settings on the cruise control? I cant stand it when I press the resume button on the cruse, the computer essentially floors the throttle to accelerate back to the cruise setting. I'd prefer if it would just gently accelerate back to the correct speed. I guess I'm asking for a "granny mode" on the cruise.

Why dont you just gently give it gas untill you return to your set speed, then hit resume??

You know, like every body else?

If they made the cruise control extra wimpy on the gas, you would have to put your foot on the gas every time you came to a hill.

now THAT would be annoying.

Yes it is possible via custom tuning. I have also changed my truck to be able to operate the cruise control from 0-120; instead of the 27-93 limit it had before. Hope this helps.

what is this 27 mph stuff? my CC won't work until the speedo reads 30 mph...and sometimes if the CC isn't aggressive enough, it'll just turn off if I come to a big hill and the speedo goes under 30 mph.

It will kick off if you drop to 10 mph under set speed.
