no i dont think they will break into your truck for your scan gauge.

when your breaking your MPG will go up. the scan gauge factors speed, RPM, how much fuel is flowing through the injectors, and a couple other things to measure MPG so when you break its going to shoot up.

you didnt go up enough in tire size for it to really make a difference. and the scan gauge will read your MPH off the ECU so its going to give you the speed the car thinks not your actual speed

I always worry about people breaking into my truck. Their are crackheads that will break into your truck to steal your change, or anything they can get there hands on. Get a lcd-2way alarm if you dont have one already.

I use mine all the time. Heading to Galveston last night I was facing a bad headwind knocking my mpg back to 13-14 Hwy, on the way back with a tail wind I was getting 17.5-20. Its pretty cool to be able to watch everything in reat time

The fuel mileage instant reading is the one that changes. If you go to trip, it will allow you to keep your dauly fiel mileage that does not vary up and down quickly. I calculates it for the day and you can also check the mileage it got yesterday.
