Talking 2008 FX4 Blackout! (pics)

Alrighty, I've been lurking around asking stupid questions here and there for the past few weeks.. low and behold, I think I'm pretty much done! I bought this 2008 F150 Supercrew FX4 with the hopes of modding it out, about 4 weeks ago. I'm running a 6" Procomp stage 1, with 35"/12.5r20 Toyo MT on 20" Procomp 7005 with 4.56 yukon gears. I think it looks pretty slick, how bout you?

Anywho, I haven't gotten my exhaust, intake, and X3 installed quite yet, but I thought you guys might want to take a sneak peek.

Very nice. Is that FX4 logo a sticker or is it painted on?

I take it you ordered that?

What about the fender badge, did you just paint it black, or did you do something else?

Question paint!

Yea, the fender badges were painted with Krylon Fusion Satin Black, it works wonders on plastic and my headlights, and there are Dark shadow gray inlays for the F150 triton 5.4 letters, all inlays and decals courtesy of patriotdecals.com

Anywho, the Krylon is easy to use, just mask off, clean, sand emblems, clean dust, spray, enjoy? It holds up very well, just make multiple thing coats, I went around about 5-6 times to ensure a decent coverage.

Question though.. What do you guys think about me finishing the blackout on my wheels? Maybe PimpRohr would leave me alone bout stealing his combo, lol. Anywho, I'm really leaning towards blacking out the chrome on the wheels, and it's what I originally intended to do what do ya'll think? I already have black wheel locks to replace the chrome lugs, I'd just need to spray the tiny cosmetic wheel bolts around the perimeter. (its gonna suck having to mask all 48 of those circles..)

Regular

Blackout lugs and bolts

Blacking out the lugs and bolts would look good - really finish the look off. I'd use a glossy black to set those bolts off though.

Could you make a template to paint the bolts out a big piece of cardboard? Take a fairly good size piece and simply cut out a small bolt sized hole and just hold it up to the wheel and spray.
