they look ok, definitely porps for the head/fog match but too blue for my taste though.
I had a guy behind me for over 40 miles with gawd aweful 12000k purple ones and it drove me nuts! I hope yours are aimed right. also, was there really a need for 2 threads? |
Looks real good man, I have the 6000k and love them as well!

Not to be mean, but....
These things may look cool, I guess, but don't they blind other drivers? (yes).
I've had to pull over and let cars pass me cause I can't see anything, the light is blinding when reflected in my mirrors. Look left, look right, look up....all I see is light. btw, SOME OF US WEAR GLASSES. The glare from those in my glasses is unreal (and I have nice glasses). |

Not many people cruise the APPEARANCE section, so YES me putting a thread their and here seemed ok to me :fyi: |
6000K bi-xeon (I still want to keep my brights) HIDs are on my short list of mods. Now if I can only convince my wife...
On another note... are there any issues with these things melting any of the lenses/housings? |

With the trend right now being HIDs, a lot of kids (and you older folks too, your not excused lol) who have them have no clue what they do to or how they look to others and DO NOT AIM THEM PROPERLY! Especially a big lifted truck whos headlights wont have that much travel to aim them down enough. Im almost inclined to ask in every persons "LOOK AT MY HIDS" thread to provide pics of the light on a flat surface from x distance away just to see the cuttoff. I bet the majority will not have them aimed correctly. That is why HIDs for aftermarket applications get such a negative reputation from DOT agencies and individuals alike. I know a few states have already outlawed the higher temp ones that give off intense blue and purple colors because of the distraction. A few forum friends on another site have been ticketed in jersey for the 10-12k ones. I also remember reading a while back about a movement to outlaw them in cars not originally equiped with them from the factory but sema got involved and i think the dust settled on that.

I wear glasses sometimes  This may sounds crazy but I got HID's b/c they produce MORE light LOL... The look good part just comes with it. The camera shows more blue for some reason. I have them aimed a little lower than my factory heads

Looks good:thumbsup:
I plan on get these this fall. I don't do much driving at night in the summer in the truck. It's either my TA or the wifes car to save on gas. It seems that the F-150 reflectors do a pretty good job at cut off points. Btw some newer cars will be or are coming out with HID's that are not projection. I'm not sure if this is "new" news since I usually don't keep up with head light information. I have seen a few samples at my work. Hell a guy at work bought a Kia the other day it has projection:lol: seems all autos will be going to HID's one way or the other. |
