well i got it to the part where i need to drop the diff, how the sam hell do you get that upper front diff bolt out?
also how much do i gotta compress the coil when switching them over?
do i have to trim both sides of the crossmember or just the passenger side?
everything was going OK til the passenger upper ball joint bolt was stripped thanks ford
its not going too bad though, at least the weathers nice. help me out guys

its not going too bad though, at least the weathers nice. help me out guys1(upper diff bolt) is the steering system in the way? remove your clockspring per factory manual, turn your steering wheel remember to count turns and direction..
2(compress coil) im assuming that you are putting in new rancho struts, you need a strut compressor (macpherson strut and not coil compressor), although i would forget this and just take them in to pepboys, dealership, or any shop where they have a cage... just remember to index ALL the way down and on the coil and on the bottom a arm connection.
3.(srtipped ball joint)bet you didnt hold the smaller nut and just started cranking on the big nut
btw my first real mechanical experience was with that exact same kit, so ive been there
1. i dont wanna remove the rack and pinion, the install doesnt says nothing about it, so i assuming its just a bitch to do with a wrench.
2. i borrowed them from my buddy, he just replaced his struts on his wifes car with em. i think im just gonna take em in.
3. no i held them nut on the bottom and it just stopped, dead. wont turn again, i tried everything, oh well at least its new i guess.
this aint the 1st lift kit i put on, just used to working on silverados.
