Good asking price???

Im about to put my truck up for sale, and was wondering what they are going for these days. I have a 2004 F150, FX4, 58k miles, ext. cab, step side. Loaded with all the electronic goodies, Black ext. black leather int. (Only put color b/c black seems to sell better.)

Just curious as to what I should set asking price at. Thanks.

It can depend alot on what part of the country you are in, also with the gas prices now days it doesn't help the resale value of trucks either. Take a look at dealer lots around your area and see what other trucks like yours are going for. I would say put $17,500 on it and see what happens.

K, thanks. Dealers are still asking 20k plus, but I think that is way too much. My truck looks just like yours btw, minus the wheels/tires.

your miles are not that high, 17,500 is a good start

I just bought My 06 Supercab FX4 with 38000 miles, black leather, everything else stock for 18,999. They were asking a little over 20. A lot of people use edmonds or Kelleys blue book.

Go to kbb.com and check. It takes into account mileage, options and zip code. You just have to be brutally honest about condition. A lot of dealers will use that when appraising vehicles. Good Luck.

Just for grins I went on ebay the other night to see what kind of money people were getting for used ('04-and-up body style) F-150's and can honestly say that I was shocked at how low the prices were. I'm sure glad I'm not in a position where I have to sell one of these things right now......

I was on 2 days ago, Saw two like mine go for 20k. One was CC though.
Week ago, saw an 04 go for 24k+. Granted it had a 6" lift though.
