Cowl Removal?

I tried to get the cowl off of my truck today to paint it, but I had some difficulty. I got the rubber stripping off, and then I released the clips. I started moving some things around and pulling a little but that's where I stopped.
I couldn't see how to release any futhur, and I figured there'd be a problem with the wipers in getting it off and I couldn't see if there's an easy way to do it or not.
HAs anybody done this? And did you possibly take any pictures, or is there a schematic drawing or something to help me?
I want to do this, but I don't want to break anyhting.

I don't even think that's a newer model F150.

The wipers have a little lever on them that you pull back on and the wiper arm come off pretty easy if you don't bind them and pull them straight off. No tools needed and it's the easiest part to do.

The cowl has clips on them, where the cowl pieces slide either towards the windshield or away from it..... I can't remember. But once you have the bolts off and those plastic push in type rivets out (whatever they're called), the cowl pieces come off by popping it with the butt of your palm fairly easy. I can see how it would be easy to break the clips off, so be pretty carefull not to pull up on it much.

I'll tell you what, my digicam is crapping out or I'd take pics. But if there is any more info I haven't covered, let me know what you need to know. I have my cowl off right now.

If you could look at your PCM connections and maybe help me with my recent thread, I'd appreciate it. No one seems to give a s***, or enough to help me out.

Does anybody have step-by-step instructions, with pictures perhaps, on how to do this?
I really want to, and I tried, but quit before I did any damage since I couldn't really see how it came apart.
Please...

Is that the owners manual or the chiltons repair manual? Thank's alot!
Now I just need to know how the wiper arms are removed.
I should just go pick up one of those manuals. What do they run?

Gee, you mean yours didn't just come loose like the rest of ours? The factory attachement method could be called temporary at best.

It's a Haynes Manual.

To remove the wiper arms look at the base of the arm, there's a little tab. Lift the tab and pull the wiper arms away from the truck. Super simple.

I got mine off e-bay for like $15.

Well it's off and painted. Now it's drying.
Thanks for all the help. With the instructions it was super easy to remove. I'm not so sure about the reassembly yet though. :o
But it looks great! I'll start a new thread later with the pictures and the step-by-steps.
