manual window ?

Anyone have them in their new truck? I need to know if there is a way to reposition the crank on them? I have a 07 stx, and my knee is constantly hitting it. My dealer says that they only fit 1 way. I know on older models you could take the crank off and reposition them. Just double checking my dealers knowledge, or lack of.

I got em on the 05, the crank goes on with a screw in the middle and there is a cover that needs to be pried off with a pick

i did it on my 05 STX. you just take out the bolt that holds them on and reposition it however you want. i dont know if they changed things since the 05. there wasnt a key on it or anything. it was just a splined shaft and you could put the crank on any way that you want.

I had a 2006 xlt that my wife drove, and 2 trips to the dealer for power window failures sealed the deal for me, i'll take the manual windows, not as convenient, but they work when i need em too.

My 06 has manual windows. I've turned them. I rest my foot on the edge of the pocket while driving and it was definitely in the way. Just take the screw out and reposition. If you're careful you won't tear anything up.

why waste time trying to find someone that did it? it takes like 2 minutes to pop off the cover and take the torx bit bolt out and turn it a couple splines. i did the same thing that attworth does.. i set my foot on the pocket on the door and that crank was in the way. takes about 2 minutes to do both doors.
