Wheel/Tire Combo, Can someone Crop it for me

Just wondering if someone could let me know how bad this rim would stick out on my truck. Here's a pic of the rim, and the specs of it.

If someone has some extra time, and wants to play around if you have some kind of photo crop I would love to see what these things would look like on my truck.

Thinking about going with the Nitto 265/70/17's.....

What's your opinion!

Rim

Specs:Size:
17x8.5
Finish: Black
Bolt Pattern 2: 6x135
Offset: 15

I have been interested in these exact wheels but didn't know what they would look like on my truck. Funny thing happened yesterday...My wife and I went to Menards so I could get some more material for my room addition and we were getting out of the truck and the wife says to me "wow those are some nice wheels on that truck" --- so I walked around to see what was wheels were on this dark gray Dodge and low and behold it was these wheels. I must say that they look even better in real life. They will be my next set of wheels!!!

those are the wheels i wanted but after about 8 months waiting on them they finaly came in but with 5in of backspacing, not the 5 3/8 your looking at. i wished i wouldnt have settled as they stick out farther than i like but others seem to like it a lot.

i will try and grab some pictures today, the truck is really dirty right now...

So what backspacing do I need to pull them in a little closer and not have them stick out so much. Im confused when it comes down to "offset" and "backspacing"

I want as close to "stock" as I can get with maybe just a tiny bit of tread sticking out.

Can you shoot me a pic, of a side view looking at the rim/tire I'd like to see what they look like with some meat mounted on them.

Thanks
Tom

Offset is exactly that, how far "offset" the wheel is from center. Backspacing is the distance from the back of the rim to the mounting surface. Therefore, backspacing is a result of the offset.

The closest ones to stock will have an offset of 15mm and a backspacing of 5 and 3/8 inches. It too is going to stick out farther than stock, especially with a wide tire on it.

I have had all four of mine replaced due to paint defects and one of the replacements they sent was a 15mm offset and about the only way we could tell it was wrong was because the lug nuts stuck out of the recessed hole in the spokes a lot farther than they do on mine that have a 6mm offset.

I will try and get her a little cleaned up and get a picture in the next day or two. They are very good looking rims and I honestly get complements on them, and my truck, at a rate of about twice a week. Unfortunately the truck has become a “guy magnet” hopefully come summer my Porsche will be effective at attracting the opposite sex….

those are the same specs as my wheels, with the same size tire, and they just barely stick out past the front fenders. The tire tread is pretty much flush with the front fender. It's a good fit.

What size tires are you running, I was looking at 265/70/17 Nitto's, but I think I may change and go with a little less agressive tread patern. I like the Kumho AT's off tire rack for about the same price.

I think I am going to go with these rims.... I have been kicking it around for weeks. Since I have the ShadowGrey Truck with black trim, blacked out headlights, tail-lights, and those back nerf's with billet stepup's, I think these with that color scheme would flow with the rest of the truck.

I greatly appreciate the time you took, to clean your truck up and shoot those pic's for me. Your truck thanks you too!

Quick question, What is that on the hood of your truck, decal or what? Also I am about to purchase a cover for the bed of my truck. Going with a low pro Truxedo I think, How do you like yours?

Thanks!
Tom

yes, thats a decal. it reads "281c.i. TRITON" i was not completely sold on it but ive gotten lots of complements for them.

the cover i have is from access, one of the sponsors here. i'm friends with our local distrubutor but regardless of that i do think there are the best quality roll up cover i have seen. he sells tons of them.

To Late, I jumped the gun and called them today, Got all 4 rims, with 265/70/17 Kumho Venture At's, mounted/balanced, lugnuts, and center caps shipped to my door for $1200.

Now I'm just waiting for an FX2 Grill that I found to be delivered and I think I'll be finished with the mod's on my truck, unless they ever make a SuperCharger Kit for the 4.6 2valve!

Thanks for the reply's and pics!

Tom
