i have a 2004 extended cab and the driver side rear suicide door wont open...it has got to be something with the handle because it feels like something is just not catching....has anyone had this problem???

 

Check along the edge of the door near the bottom, there's a button that disables the rear door latch when the front door is closed. It could be sticking and causing your problem.

 

yea i checked that and it seems to not be sticking im going to try and take the handle completely off

 

I had a problem like this w/ the front door. The problem was that there is a clip that grasps a threaded rod inside the door which when the handle is pulled, pulls that rod and opens the door. That clip had come unclipped and did the same thing you are describing. This may be the same case w/ the rear.
