where's a good place to buy cheap tires?

I'm lookin for some M/T's. Prefferably Toyo Open Country M/T's or Mickey Thompson Baja Clawz. I need around a 35/12.50r20. Let me know of any sites with good prices. Going to be running them on a Set of Black XD Monsters. Should look sick!

Baja Claws and Toyo MT's are not really in the same class as far as tires go. IMO the claws are a much more off-road oriented tire than the Toyo MT.

What type of driving will you be using the tires for? The Toyos have pretty good street manners while maintaining nice off road ability. I am quite happy with my Pro Comp mud terrains, and I am sure they can be found for less than the other two you listed... just a thought.

Go to a hummer dealer and see if the have any BFG 35 inch tires lying aroudnf or sale. You can get them for $200 for all four and they have 90-95% tread left on them.

Edit saw you needed a 20inch rim space adn they are 17's.

Yeah, but I run 17's...

I may have to do that and have some spare tires just in case.

Shoot now my secret is out and the will go for $200 a pop! The should be cool about it though. I finally found a way to beat the system kinda.

Tornadom Apr 6, 2008 04:56 AM

Hahaha, there isn't a Hummer dealer for 60 miles from me so don't worry about me grabbing up all of the 'gently used' inventory. One nice thing about tire from an H2: it's almost gauranteed that they never left the pavement. :D

It would be weird running an AT rather than a MT. For the driving I do the most of an AT would be fine, but there would be times that I missed the big lugs.

Now if everybody else would be so kind and not let this spread like wild fire we would be good.

I had MT on my old chevy that I beat on a lot. Now I have AT's and way I like the ride alot better and they are quiter too! Figured that a BFG AT and the way i drive should be fine for getting me out to were I ride at and to the desert races without leaving my stuck.

www.td4l.com. I picked my tires up there. IDK about shipping though, they might try to rape you.

A lowered truck isn't to practical in Lubbock, Texas. Especially with the new job i'll be on and off drilling sites all the time. I can just picture getting stuck right out in the middle of a rut in a lowered truck and getting laughed at.
