Belltech Drop Shackles
Belltech Drop Shackles
I have decided to add some bell tech drop shackles to my 2004 f150 4x4 supercrew 4x4. I was wondering if anyone has these? Is it necessary to use the shims with a 1 piece drive shaft? Will it affect the mounting brakets for my borla exhaust? Is an alignment necessary? I have done a search, but none of the postings have answered my specific questions. Pictures would be great any any other info would be appreciated.
Thanks

You might try a search on the subject, but I think on the 4X4, to drop 2 inches, all you need to do is get 4X2 U-bolts and remove the 2 inch blocks.

Yea I have seen some people say that. I am just a little concerned if I do buy a set of drop shcakles I will be faced with a vibration issue? Maybe the block removal is the better alternative.
no alignment would be needed
and a 2" drop you shouldnt NEED shims but they wouldnt hurt, to get your driveshaft perfect, ive installed shackles on a couple trucks and didnt need shims, but if i were you id just remove the blocks

How easy is it to remove the 4x4 blocks on a supercrew? I have heard pne person say the sway bar and drive shaft might have to be disconnected??
Thanks
