I have 67,000 with no realignment. Just rotate often and keep an eye out for unusual wear.

I have had some pretty bad luck with alignments in the past, so I put it off till I know I really need it.

I just bought my truck, so i have not had to align it yet. Just put on leveling kit and am going to get tires very soon so i'm waiting on them to align it. But i live in orange barrel country so its pothole heaven here in ohio. Every time take the wifes car in for warranty work, the alignment rack is full and long appointment list! I have to have her car aligned all the time, I think she aims for the potholes!

I just got mine done at 19k.....it needed it about 9k ago but I was wanting the tires to wear so I'd have a reason to get new ones. I got the lifetime and the guy said to bring it in every 6 months! For me that's only 2k now. You should ALWAYS get it done when you get new tires.

Actually... it depends where and how you drive your truck.

Here's my recommendations:

Offroad/harsh roads: 20k-40k
Mix: 75k-100k
All highway: 120k-150k

If you need an alignment every few thousand miles then 1 of 3 things:
1. Something on the suspension is broke.
2. Driver runs over very large objects at high speeds.
3. Driver doesn't know how to drive, because skipping over curbs from one parking lot to another it just not good for anything.

Maybe my advise is bad but I would say only when you see a reason to do it. My 95 Bonneville never got an alignment until I replaced the struts and that was over 200K miles I never had an issue with tire wear. But I have already done one on my truck. I think it was at the 33K service. The reason was because I replaced the steering wheel and it wouldn't center so I had to do it otherwise I wouldn't have had it done.

I agree. I haven't had an alignment done since my 88 Dodge when I hit a gut wagon and damaged the rack and pinion. If yo need a frequent alignment, you need a driver adjustment more that than a front end alignment. 93 Park Avenue given to my daughter has 190K+ without one. My wife's Escape has over 100K and has never had one. The Toyota T-100 I had before my F-150 had 179K+ and never had one. No tire wear issues. You just need to keep an eye on it. If you rub your hand across the tread both ways and if the feel the same, you are usually OK but if it feels differently, you have at least a toe-in issue. Alignment doesn't change unless you hit something or something wears out.

It was Big10. I am kinda bad about running up curbs at stop lights to get into a turn lane, crossing the concrete islands to make a left turn w/o going to the light and going off road when I can.

But I've put 12k on the Focus and it's not even close to needing an alignment.
