Regear to 4.30 from 3.73's ???

I'm going to regear. Keep looking at the 09 1/2 tons and was thinking of trading in next year when paid off but I go back and forth on this. So, I have a week off work in April and am going to just go for it. 2x now been to Fordracing site and almost purchased 4.30's. I am staying with 33" tires since I only have 2" levelers and an AAL. I felt the performance hit going from stock 275's to 305, I can imagine how bad it would be going to 35" tires ! Any of you guys that have done this, with 33" tires, how noticable is the change? I'm thinking 4.10's are not worth the effort from 3.73's and 4.56's are too much with 33's, so 4.30's are a good in between. And when I'm done, performance wise, there would be no reason to go with any new 09 1/2 ton. Any problems, vibe's etc ?? Any advise, good or bad. .. thanks

I went from stock 3.73 w/ 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers. Later geared it for 4.56 and loved it w/ same tire setup. Now Im at 37" with 4.56 and wished I went 4.88. Dont fear the gear!! Even TeamJDM's saleen has 4.56 on their 22" tires lol. If your final setup is a 35" get at least 4.56 or higher.

I have Motive 4.30 in mine with 33s, but mine is 2wd. I don't know if they make em for 4wd.

They don't, not for the front anyway. They make 4.30's for the 9.75 rear and the 8.8 rear. The front you are stuck with 3.55, 3.73, 4.10, 4.56, 4.88

Damn .. 4.56 may be a bit much, I plan on staying with 33" tires, only running the 2" levels and an AAL. Bro had 35" and it was too stuffed in wheel well with this setup. Is the diff 9.75 ? How to tell ? thanks

Trucks with the 5.4L have the 9.75 rearend, except the with the HD payload package I believe they have the 10.25. Trucks with the 4.6L have the 8.8, both have the 8.8 up front if 4WD.
