to get into the high/mid 15s
to get into the high/mid 15s
hello everyone .... im new to the ford pickup scene ...... and would like to know if it would take the same mods as my brothers 5.7 hemi , to get me into the 15s
his hemi is a 2004 5.7 Qc 4x4 with
pacesetter long tube headers ,
a cherrybomb extreme custom dual rear exit exhaust ....
Superchip set on the performance tune and a 6.1 cam ............all this gets him a 15.8 on the 1/4 mile
after some searching on the forums i now find myself looking into edge evolution programers
for exhaust i like the loud raunchy sound of the cherrybomb extreme so ill go for that with the dual rear exits
but im still looking into headers......long or short tube ?
CAI , and wondering if theres a cam upgrade for my 2004 4door FX4 and also what would be a good gear ratio to run on the stock 18s
sorry if there newbee questions but any help would do ..... be good

I have a 2005 Ford F150 Supercrew (4 Door) FX4 - 5.4L with stock 3.73 gears
When I took my truck I made three passes
1st I hit 16 flat
2nd I hit a 16.1
3rd I hit a 15.9
Of course this was before the lift, and was obtained using these simple add-ons......
Superchips Programmer - Set to Performance Tune 93+ Octane
Airaid Cold Air Intake - Filter removed - As was the Left Headlight (for better airflow)
True Dual Flowmaster Exhaust
It can be done, but it also depends on the driver.

are superchips recomended with fords as they are with rams?
what do u mean depends on the driver its not like its manual ... no?? i dont see how there could be a terrible launch time since the truck just takes off being 4x4 ... no spin out or nothing right?
I have the Edge and I love it. I also have custom tunes from Power Hungry Performance. Having said that, if I were looking for the most performance and having all the other mods you have or are planning, I would go with the Xcal2 and programming from either Troyer or VMP.
