Angry I hate to be doing this

I hate to be doing this but im sitting in fox chevolet waiting to test drive an 08 dmax with all the goodies. Don't know if im gonna buy it but I still think im gonna see what ford can offer me since its right up the street. Don't think it will be a better deal for all that I want especially cause I work here, but they can always try. Might be saying good bye to my f150.

You work at a Chevy dealership? Don't buy it....you'll be sorry - but you do what is best for you. It's your money.

ya its sad to see the f150 go, but i have drove the duramax and its a strong motor for a chevy. I personally wouldn't own one but my friend has one and has not had a single problem with it. So either way good luck....

Have a few of those Chevys with the Dura-Maxs in them at work and I have driven them on many a day at work and don't have any complaints about them.
Like the guy above said its your money your decision...

So you want a diesel?

Any particular reason why? I personally think the Chevy's are HIDEOUS! Add to that the fact that Diesels don't get very much better MPG's, oh and diesel is over $4/gal.....

Unless you tow a lot, EF that! At least the Ford Superduty has a 100% different look and therefore another reason for someone to want to own one.

Your cash, your decision tho....

I have a friend with an older duramax, great power and its quiet, its been a great truck. Only problem with diesel is the $4/gallon. Seems gas prices fluctuate but diesel prices go up and never come down.

When I was shopping to trade my 04 F150 I thought I needed a diesel and almost made deals on a couple of different F250s I looked at. In the end I just couldn't justify the extra cost, more expensive maintenance, and higher fuel prices, so I traded for the 06 F150 Super Crew I have now. Looking back on it I know I made the right choice. Never even considered getting a Chevy, my brother sells them and I could get one for a lot less than invoice, just don't want one.

Spend a few extra $ and get the F-350. I don't know much about the 08's but when I bought my 02 PS F250 I was surprised to learn after the the purchase, the F-350 towing/GVWR was much higher than the F-250 even though it was pretty much the same truck, legalizing speaking. Check it out, might be something to look into.

That's because some people don't want to pay the extra fees involved with titling and registering an F350. Check your local laws and make sure that you don't have to pay more to register an F350 than an F250. In some states, the GVWR is lower for registering them as a larger type of vehicle. The GVRW on my truck is 9800 pounds. Anything over 10,000 pounds in some states has to be registered as a commercial vehicle. Good luck with that.

Oh, and other than the rear blocks being a little bigger and the badges saying 350 instead of 250, they are the same truck.

Also, some homeowners associations do no allow anything over an F250 to be parked at the houses in the neighborhoods. You may want to check your bylaws, if you live in an uppity neighborhood like I do.
