Where is the paint code located on my truck?

I'm getting ready to order a Racemesh grille with painted surround for my truck and I need to figure out where to get the paint code off of my truck for them to paint the surround. (2006 supercab)

The color is black with clearcoat if anyone knows the code off the top of your head.

While your reading my post I might as well ask for some opinions on what you think would look best on a black truck with black surround. Stainless steel (not extremely shiny), elecro-polished (extra shiny), or black powder coat (the stealth look) on the mesh? I'm leaning toward either stainless or black powder coated.

if a paint shop is mixing the color, give them your VIN number. Ford uses different dies in different batches of paint, which is identified by the VIN. using the color code, your mixed paint could be darker or lighter than the actual paint on your truck. (black may be black, but theres 700 different different shades)

in your case, i guess its painted already, so you have no choice. you shouldn't have a problem, but for future reference, now you know.

I don't see dark stone. Did my dealer tell me the wrong color name?
