Firestone Ride Rite **PICS**

Well I completed an additional mod Friday evening...after the Daystar 2.5" Leveling Kit installed last week, the truck really sat up in the front, so I wanted to do something to the back. I chose the Firestone Ride Rite Air Helper Spring setup and I'm real impressed with it thus far. The stuff is QUALITY, the install was no-drill on the F150, and we ran the air lines out to my license plate for a nice clean look. I'm running 30lbs in each bag, it leveled the truck out well, and the ride is awesome. When I tow, I'll be able to keep the rig level...and I love the stance. Firestone Ride Rite gets an A+ from me. Good stuff! (I may have to get the in-cab controller/gauge and compressor to make it slicker in the future.)

Before the changes:

What's the cost of the Ride Rites?

I could use a set on my F150 for all the garbage I haul.

Also, does it have like a weight limiting factor? Or is it like some crazy number like 5000 lbs per airbag? It's mystifying to me.

LOL. I will be lifting it in approximately 4 years...I think that's right about when Ford Motor Credit no longer has a stake in it.

I'm going to need that in-cab controller so that when you pull up next to me at a red light I can jack the back all the way up and not feel so small.

ManualF150, the kit you need is part number 2350, and you ought to be able to get it for around $300. It's a no-drill.

The simple math on load carrying is that every psi of inflation will support 40lbs of weight per pair. For example, if you put 50psi in the bags, it'll support 2000lbs. Check out: http://www.fsip.com/pdfs/RR/installa...0/rrin2350.pdf

Wow! I thought it was going to be much, much harder... looks like a quick and easy mod. It's perfect, because I normally haul in the 1500 to 2500 lb range... and the rear does sag some... but it would make it nice if it was level and it took some of the stress off the main suspension.

Thanks!

It look excellent on your truck, btw.

What you need it for is exactly what it's made for! You'll like it.

Think I can fix the rear sag like this with that Ride-Rite?

Yes, that is my truck with 2750 lbs of concrete...
