wtf 2 weeks ago driving home one night truck started running like **** got home and it was knocking that monday took it to the dealer. the truck has 125,000 km on it got a call from the dealer #5 pisoton was in pieces??? any one ever had this happen to them???? the truck should be back soon with a used engine in it but still wtf????

 

I'm sort of in the same boat.....I am waiting for the official word on whether my engine will be replaced. I had three banks misfiring and the delaer has no idea why it continues to do so, even after changing the plugs/coils.

Why do you get a used engine - not under warranty?

 

yes it is under warnt but the warnt com has the right to put in used parts(ya i dont like it) this is not a ford warnt it is after market but the used engine has only 20,000kms on it so that is 105,000 less than the one that came out my truck. it is a 5.4 by the way
