Need Help, got some issues!
I have a 05 5.4 Scab
First issue: Just this morning I went to go fill it up at the gas station
it took all of 80$ to fill it up
the problem is that when I went to go start the truck the fuel gauge never moved to what it was previously reading (1/3 tank)
Ive started and re-started it over and over to see if it would clear and it still hasn't...
I called ford and it looks like I'm 8 days out of my factory warranty...(I have the esp but with a 100$ deductible) the dealership told me to call Ford directly to see if they would extend it a couple days to cover any repairs that might need to be made....but before I do that I wanted to get some input here to see what you guys think.....I don't want to drop 100$ on an easy fix
Second issue is I have a annoying rear window squeak... Its getting really bad and it only happens in a cold morning....any thoughts on fixing this???
I would greatly appreciate any help thanks in advance for your time guys..

the reason behind the guage was that u left ur keys inside the ign. and ur not suppose to. dont worry it should fix itself after half a day. or disconect your battery for 15min and it should fix itself.
wat window are you talking about exactly??

If I recall correctly I always take my keys out of the ignition
growing up in a questionable neighborhood taught me that...
I think I'm going to leave it alone for a couple days and see what happens
I'm not even 100% sure its the rear window it just sounds like it is its just a really annoying squeaking that happens when driving over bumps or a rough surface and only when its cold outside (50 degrees or lower)
I'm fairly sure there is a TSB out to fix the annoying window squeak.
It most case it seems to be the outside window trim rubbing against the paint directly under it.
I fixed mine with some good weather-proof grease. I think the dealer uses a specific grease, can't recall the name of it though. Do some searching for the TSB.

check your rear roof lights they might be doing the squeek. just push them up and see if thats making the squeek.
if u didnt leave the keys in the ign its still ok. these trucks do that from time to time but never a big issue. if the problem still keeps happening disconnect your batter for 15min.

I'm kinda a n00b at this but say there is a tsb out for it, then what? What can I do?
what exactly does a tsb entail?
Are you positive its not actually your tailgate squeaking? I know mine squeaks every now again. Just needs to be opened and closed real good for it to go away. I think the latch is where the squeak comes from.

well I disconnected the battery for 15 min and it looks like that did the trick.. everything works great now....
thanks for the help on that guys. I Guess I gotta be more careful to take my keys out of the ignition... I thought I did but I had just finished working a 12 hour shift so I really don't remember much of what I did....
Now to just fix the squeaking....
I checked tailgate, made sure I was slammed it shut and I locked it securely.
Roof lights checked in side the cab roof lights and I also checked the 3rd break light. The brake light actually did squeak a little bit when I pushed it up on it but I really had to try hard to get it to squeak....So I don't think thats it...
I'm going to try to get someone to ride with me in the back when its squeaking to see if they can pinpoint it exactly...
If anyone HAS herd of the TSB or knows where I can get one on a annoying squeak please let me know and any other suggestions or similar problems that can help me figure this out please let me know.
