Speedy's new stable mate...

Finally got the new F250 on Tuesday. Went ahead and ordered it up in the same trim as Speedy, a red FX4 crew cab. I got the V-10, 4.30 gears, and nearly every other option available.

I dropped the F150 a few inches, and plan to go the other way with the F250. A Rize 6" lift with Bilsteen 5100 shocks is on the way as well as XD series badlands 20X9 rims, Toyo MT 37X20 tires and Bushwacker fender flares. I am also having a spray in bedliner and an autostart put on it Thursday. When the fender flares get painted, they are going to do the front and rear bumper as well.

Gotta figure out a name for Speedy's new cell mate. Had "CB" in mind which is short for Cherry Bomb, but I think there might be a better name out there. If ya'll want to toss some ideas out there I'd appreciate it.

Shine, if you don't like it, don't read it buddy. Watch where you are poking that donkey with your stick there.

The V-10 is crappy right now. The truck has to go in for service Thursday morning due to a bad vibration, rough idle and it doesn't seem to have all its power. I traded in a 2000 F250 with the V-10, and this one feels like it has much less power. Hopefully it'll be a quick fix.

No blower on this one, not any time soon that is. Just going to lift it and haul water and toys with it for now.

The truck is okay engine wise, but I think the tranny is showing some signs of having issues. When it shifts into higher gears it will start having a slight miss/slip if it gets under load (lugging up a hill or accellerating quickly). I can still speed up in the top gears, but have to do it slower. Shifting from 1-3 is fine though, it picks up and goes like a mad man still. I've had to change the spark plugs about every 4,000 miles due to the Torco, but that stuff eliminated the pinging at higher RPM's and I can feel the extra torque when it is mixed with the gas vs. when it isn't.

I'm probably due for a new tranny before too long so I'm looking at getting a good performance tranny to throw on there. Damn them buggers are pricey.

Netter, Big Red came to mind, but I've heard it too often. I'd like something a little more unique.

X2 on Big Red but add a little decal of the Big Red softdrink on the tailgate or the Big Red gum.

Nice Truck!
