you sure you have the right part number? I couldn't get it to work on some of the online parts dealers. Anyways, you can get it that mirror much cheaper on the internet, it should only be around $200. Try www.tituswillfordparts.com or www.tascafordparts.com and just email them since that part number isn't working on their websites. Make you tell them it's the power folding mirror.

And $147 for labor!!! That's crazy, all you need to do is remove your door panel and unbolt the broken mirror and plug in/bolt up the new mirror. You should be able to find instructions on this forum (do a search) on how to remove your door panel, it's fairly easy. FYI, I had to change my passenger mirror once since I broke it.

I just saved you about $500!

TASCA FORD is the best place I have found to buy a FORD dealer item. Very affordable and easy to deal with. About 147 labor is real high. Do a search and you will find not that hard. Boyd

A big rig with a long *** trailer clipped me yesterday and he is offering to pay what it cost to fix it. So as for now it's just taped up. The servise advisor gave me that part number based on the last 8 niumbers of my vin #.

why didn't you mention this in your first post? I typed up all that info for nothing if someone else is paying for it...well I guess people can see what a ripoff the dealer can be.

"The mirrors are #s 7L3Z17682NA and 7L3Z17683SA, right and left respectively. They retail at 444.08 each, your cost would be 313.88 each plus shipping"

I received these prices and part numbers from a gary bradley from fordpartsdirect.com. I had a vin from a truck that had the heated, power folding mirrors as I am looking to add them.

Not the same but I had my driver side mirror broken off by a drive through car wash(I know I know, but it was cold). The arms on one of the sprayers was bent and took it clean(no pun intended) off.

I always keep bailing wire with me, guess that's a good thing.

I was just curious, can you still fold in those mirrors by hand real quick without breaking the power fold motor/gears?
