Built new Gauge pod

Well I have had my prototype in my truck for about a year so I figured I would just add my 2 new gauges to it for now. Well I couldnt use my angle rings because it was to small, so I just installed them anyway without the rings. Well I installed it in my truck and I couldnt see the gauges that well unless I leaned over onto the arm rest. So decided to build it a 1/2" wider to accomodate the rings but found that the 1/4" MDF was too thick for a proper angle. I then went out and bought a piece of scrap aluminum from the steel shop and made a gauge panel that will screw into the gauge pod. It is all wood with wood filler, primed + sanded(several times) then just shot it with gloss black(which I still found some imperfections). I like the end result and I can see the gauges clearly now.

Drivers view. Yes I know the trim panel isnt all the way snapped in that is because I still need to wire in the lights for the gauges.

Looks really slick man. Did you have to put a hole in the top of your dash to get the wires down?

That gauge pod replaced the factory tray so no new holes had to be drilled this way it can go back to stock if I choose to keep the gauges if I ever sell the truck.]

Thanks for all the compliments!
