Question New Speakers

I am looking at putting in some better quality speakers then the crap stock ones I have in now, I currently have the single CD player. My dad has Memphis speakers in all four corners and a Pioneer head unit in his F-150

Listening to his it sounds 10X better then my stock stereo/speakers….nice and clear no tearing or popping.

What other good brands are out there for speakers and stereo units?

Also what if I just change out the speakers and not the stereo?

I am looking at Polk audio db571's....looks to be good

Thanks

I just bought a pair of Pioneer TS-A6872R 6x8 3 way speakers from Crutchfield, for the front of my 2005 supercab. Anyone have them? I plan on running these of the stock single cd H/U until I get a stock audiophile off ebay. I will get another set for the rear after I hear the sound of these. Then, if don't like the sound, I can switch the Pioneers to the rear and get some of the Infinity Kappas. I prefer to stay stock. Any ideas out there on this?
