??????..........Ive always been able to get quicker follow up shot with the eotech. For distance all you have to do is dim it. The ACOG is nice but over priced. You can either shoot or not!
I have an aimpoint. At first, I put it on an Hk 91. I did this because my hunting lease changed from somewhere where I needed to shoot 2-3 hundred yards, to very wooded and lots of hogs. I figured if I was on the ground, and shooting hogs, I needed lots of firepower (20 rounds) and a quick acquisition scope. Well, I went hunting over Thanksgiving in West Texas. The aimpoint on the Hk SUCKED at dusk...horrid. I thought, does our military really use this crap? Anywho, my old Marine dad found out, and decided to give me a Leopold tactical scope that is 1.5-5 power, and has the red dot. I can use it as a quick acquisition scope at 1.5, and have FANTASTIC light amplication in low light situations. I can also use it at 2-3 hundred yards since my rifle is a .308. So now, I have a 400 dollar aimpoint...that I do not like. Its fancy and all, but I am still debating whether or not to put it on my AR? Thats a whole nuther story. WTF? Why is are military shooting this small of a round?
I know the story behind it, and that it wounds soldiers, and it takes 3 men to take care of one...But why not use a .308? I have never been in combat, or the military for that matter...But, it does disturb me that the vast majority of commie countries have a bigger bullet.
Lets discuss...

It's my understanding that the commie bullet, while bigger, doesn't have the distance or accuracy of our rounds.
Have fun at work? I don't have as much fun as you guys do...but then again, right now I'm surfing F150online at work, so that's kind of fun.

Send me an e-mail if you would would like to discuss more or want a good contact for LE/MIL at Aimpoint. They would be happy to educate your armorer on proper optics mounting and sights that don't wash out in mild sunlight like that Trijicon Reflex. I just want the best for all LE and Military guys!
Hunter, sorry for the contribution to the crap in your thread. Thanks for the pic, it was entertaining!
