Whats the Difference between 07STX 4x4 and 07FX4

Just wanted to know the main differences guys. Ive noticed that the FX4 has different wheels and tires, foglights are rectangular instead of round like mine and of course the decal. What else is different?

Motor, Rear end, interior, skid plates, ext....
The rectangular are not a difference between fx4 and stx, The round ones are 06+ and rectangular ones are 04 and 05.
There are plenty of threads on this try using the search.

If McDonald's served steak dinners, that is what a XLT would be.

xl would be a half eatin steak dinner in the garbage at McDonalds

but the stx is just a dressed up xl in my opinion, i mean you can get the 5.4 and stuff if in, but it will cost ya as much or close to the price of a xlt. if i could go back and get a fx4, i would but either way it dont matter because most of that stuff comes off in the lift (except for the bumper and those sick cluster, and center shift if it came with it)

Yeah i agree about the STX it is a XL with better wheels, and a few more options.

I love my STX and much prefer the mechanical 4x4 shifter to the electric one. Is this an option on the FX4? I do wish I had the power windows and might even add them down the road. I don't do any heavy towing so the 4.6 V8 is all the power I need, even with 33's. It just depends on what you want/need out of your truck. My decision was perfect for me!

i never understood the big deal with people and shift-on-the-fly- 4x4. i've had 1 vehicle with manual 4x4 shift and i hated it, screw the manual hubs, but i guess each to there own. i've never once had a issue with them, but maybe i been lucky.

There is less to go wrong with the manual shift 4x4. That's why we like it! And it's just as easy to shift the 4x4 shifter as is is to push a button or turn a ****. All I have to do is pull my shifter about 1 inch and my 4x4 is locked in so I don't have to worry about if that electronic switch is going to work or not. Oh, and they are not manual hubs, the hubs are auto locking.

I once had a guy not buy a truck off of me ONLY because it had the electronic 4x4 shifter switch. I thought it was odd but apparently he didn't.
