My chrome cap on my 04 FX4 shifter is deteriorating and I need a new one. I'm assuming I could put in a leather unit from a Lariat if I'm replacing it anyway? I'm assuming I need to but the whole shifter "unit". Where is my cheapest place to go? oR are they all the same? Any interesting aftermarket units that are not very $$$?

ya, its a little pricey, and if you wanna do the lt leather swap one, you gotta dremel it out and, imo, its not worth it.

 

I'm sure someone makes a cover you could put on there.
